WE STAND BEHIND WHAT WE SELL Condition : This bike was restored to the full functional and performing bicycle. We broke down all elements and replace all necessary parts. We tested and cleaned all components. We inspect every bike before shipment or purchase again. This bike can have some minor scuffs and fine scratches from regular use. The pick-up is available from our Warehouse Showroom in Grayslake Illinois - by appointment only. If you want us to ship the bike, we charge $175 (US Continent only) but all the liabilities are waived. If we ship bikes some assembly is required due to size of the equipment and shipping box. This is a Vintage Raleigh bike, with a XX-large frame and frame length of 65 centimeters, 10 speed, 27x1 1/4   Rigida   rims , and is completely made of
steel . Not only is the Raleigh one of the oldest cycling brands of the world, it also is popular for its racing heritage. At the peak of sportive triumph stood the Dutch cycling Team TI Raleigh which was extremely successful from the 1970s to the 1980s. Many famous champions rode in this équipe, among them Joop Zoetemelk, Jan Raas, Gerrie Knetemann, Hennie Kuiper, Dave Lloyd, Urs Freuler, Johan van der Velde and Didi Thurau. Success does not come without fans and admirers who are keen to identify themselves with the stars and some marketing to feed their needs. In these years several 10- and 12-speed models tried to give amateurs and professionals alike the possibility to join the ranks of Raleigh road bike racers.
Our Vintage Raleigh
is one of these bikes. The frame and its stays were built using premium materials and were painted in a dark green color. As for the parts we find some of the finest parts of the time including the Shimano ALTUS and LARK II!
